Douglas O'Connell

 

Lecture on Ritual which he feels that is somewhat relating to my piece.  We discuss on my project and he tried to figure out what to teach us accordingly.  Same as Dick's comment, he said my subject on Nabokov is still very vast.  So he pinned me down on my idea. I pick the core of my piece which is "You are God, and so am I"  So he suggest that I should do it in photography,  and have an image running.  The sensor will change everytime when the performer's position change.   Douglas is a very good teacher in that way, a bit impatient though, but he was able to dissect a problem and suggest a solution in a super quick 5 minute time.   His lectures is good, but he seemed to go in a fast pace mode, and bam bam bam, done.

Since I feel he is rather preoccupied and busy during the time he is with us,   I can't help to feel we are just filling his down time gap...
